Eligibility
For admission to the M.A/M.Sc Psychology or BS four Years in Psychology programs at the Institute of Clinical Psychology, University of Karachi, candidates must possess a minimum qualification of M.A/M.Sc Psychology or BS four Years in Psychology, or an equivalent qualification from an HEC recognized University or Institution.
Ph.D. Clinical Psychology
The Institute of Clinical Psychology, University of Karachi, offers a comprehensive 24 month program that includes coursework, supervised internship, didactic analysis, and a dissertation. Students enrolled in this program have a maximum period of 8 years to complete all the requirements successfully.
MPhil Clinical Psychology
Applicants must hold an M.Phil. or M.S. in Clinical Psychology (with a minimum 3 CGPA in coursework and completion of a 6-credit-hour thesis) or its equivalent from a recognized University/Institute approved by the Higher Education Commission, Pakistan. Alternatively, candidates with an MA/MSc or BS (4 years) in any Psychology discipline (with at least a second class) or its equivalent from a recognized University/Institute approved by the Higher Education Commission, Pakistan are also eligible to apply.
Post Magistral Diploma in Clinical Psychology (PMDCP)
It includes coursework, a supervised internship, and research components. During this period, students will engage in comprehensive academic studies, and practical training through supervised internships, and conduct research in their respective fields.
Diploma in Rehabilitation of Childhood Disorders (D.R.CD) (Evening (Program)
The Institute of Clinical Psychology at the University of Karachi is currently accepting applications for its MPhil and PhD programs for fall 2024. The program duration is 12 months and encompasses coursework and training in the field of rehabilitation of childhood speech and language therapy, along with a supervised internship and research opportunities.
