Founded in 1860, King Edward Medical University (KEMU) is a prestigious public-sector medical university situated in Lahore, Pakistan. Originally known as Lahore Medical School, the institution obtained its independent status and was renamed King Edward Medical University on May 12, 2005. During its early years, Lahore Medical School was affiliated with Punjab University. The university expanded its teaching facilities by incorporating two additional hospitals. Mayo Hospital, which was already operating as Anarkali Dispensary, became an affiliated hospital in 1871. These hospitals played a crucial role in providing practical training to medical students.

How to Apply for Admission Online 2024?
- You can download an application form from the King Edward Medical University Lahore official website or obtain one from the Office of the Registrar (Allied Health Sciences).
- Forms should be fully completed and accompanied by all required documents and a cash payment of Rs. 300/- (per discipline) made out to King Edward Medical University Lahore.

Eligibility Criteria
- The following are the eligibility criteria for KEMU admissions.
- Students must have done FSc pre-medical or any equivalent program
- The student must have scored at least 65 percent marks in FSC and MDCAT
- A British IBCC Certificate is required for foreign candidates who have completed an Intermediate or equivalent course in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.

- The Marks obtained in Fsc/ Total marks in Fsc) x 50 – Formula A
- HSSC/F.Sc (Premedical or Equivalent) – 40% Formula B
- Entrance Test – 50%

Submission of Admission Forms
- The candidates having domicile in any district of the Punjab and Federal Capital Area (Islamabad) with a score of 82% percent or above aggregate marks (excluding Hifz-e-Quran marks) as per the PMC formula will be eligible to apply for admission against Open Merit Seats in the public sector medical/dental institutions of Punjab and Reciprocal Seats in public sector colleges of KPK, Balochistan, and AJK.
- If you are eligible, you will not get a call letter for submitting this application.
